Driveways:
Many turn to concrete when homeowners build a new driveway or revamp an existing one. But it’s not just the boring, old gray stuff anymore. It is the one material that does it all. It’s versatile, durable, looks great, and easy to maintain.
Today’s homeowners take great pride in their home and are fully aware of the “curb appeal” it exudes. One of the most effective ways to enhance the look of a home is by gracing it with a decorative concrete driveway. Because of the range of textures, colors, and patterns, it is a versatile part of overall landscape design and can increase the value of your home.
Patios:
For many decades, a well-designed, professionally installed paved concrete or flagstone patio can add beauty and elegance to any home, yard, or poolside. The heart of your backyard is the patio, as its courtyard is the center of a family’s outdoor activities or entertaining your friends.
Because of its durability and neutral palette, flagstone is a go-to choice for many hardscapes. Yet, if your budget does not allow for Flagstone, stained and/or stamped asphalt is an exceptional and trendy choice that can bring you decades of enjoyment at a more affordable price tag.
The ideas we can make reality include patio styles such as:
- Modern: Blend High-quality concrete with industrial materials and other modern elements.
- Old World: Concrete with a worn look, with stone finishes and warm colors, helps attain this quality.
- Traditional: Stone and brick can be used for your pathways, complementing your concrete patio.
- Rustic: Surrounding your patio with earth tones and rural architecture gives your landscape an older, ranch-like feel.
- Tropical: For an oceanside home, integrate sandy hues, turquoise themes, and other beach elements.
Walkways:
Concrete is one of the most durable materials a person can build; It’s no wonder so many people choose to use cement for the walkways around their homes. Cement walkways stand the test of time. They’ll hold up well under the various weather conditions and look great after years of use by busy families. It’s the perfect material to create functional, attractive paths to and around your home.
Cement walkways and sidewalks are innovative and affordable options for adding function and beauty to your space; walkways will also elevate your curb appeal. No matter your budget, lifestyle, or vision, we can help create a functional and visually appealing sidewalk.
Pool Decks:
One of the biggest trends in outdoor design today is a decorative pool deck, an inviting, multipurpose area surrounding the pool where people can entertain, sunbathe or hang out when they aren’t lounging in the pool. Pool Decks are now more essential as an element in swimming pool design.
While a pool deck may look and function like a patio, it has exceptional slip resistance, sun reflectivity, and orientation requirements. A concrete pool deck suits any setting, budget, and lifestyle, whether you want to entertain, exercise, or create a peaceful water-themed oasis.
Decorative Stamped & Colored Concrete Services
Decorative Cement gives you a vast array of options not possible with other paving materials. Using stamps, you can create cost-effective replicas of popular materials such as cobblestone, brick, natural slate, and fifieldstoneIdeal for beautifying pool decks, driveways, entries, courtyards, and patios, stamped concrete is the perfect outdoor paving choice.
And unlike stone or precast pavers, decorative cement can be designed to fits your landscape design. Beyond the endless array of patterns and textures, coloring methods such as stains or powdered pigments will give your stamped concrete an authentic look.
Types Of Decorative Cement
There are many ways to apply decorative concrete. One method includes adding unique ingredients to the concrete mix before pouring. Or, an additional decorative layer can be added to traditional concrete after it has cured.
Stamped:
There are virtually limitless possibilities with stamped concrete, which is made to imitate the look of stone, slate, brick, cobblestone, and other materials. Stamped concrete can also include imprints of nature, such as shells or fossils. Cement is durable and low cost, allowing you to get creative and go for a more high-end, personalized look.
Stamping involves pressing molds into concrete while still in its plastic state. Also, color can be added using several different methods. The only downside is that the coloring will not last forever and will eventually begin to fade and appear patchy. Thankfully, there are options to restore the look of your stamped concrete.
Dyes:
Dyes have been around to help change the color of concrete for years, but recent changes have made them more effective than they were in the past. Alcohol-based dyes are not valid outdoors because they tend to fade quickly in the sun. The latest colors are mixed with more appropriate solutions to resist better fading in the sun, including a UV inhibiting agent. Still, specific dyes fade between 5-8% every year when regularly exposed to direct sunlight.
Polymer Cement Overlays:
Polymer cement overlays have been used to transform concrete since 20+ years ago. Adding a polymer resin to the mix gives the cement a lot more strength and increases its overall natural performance. Polymer cement overlay is an economical way to add color, texture, and concrete that will last for a long time without the need for many if any, repairs.
Polishing:
We polish your concrete by using Mechanical grinders and diamond pads with varying grit sizes. Sizes range from 6 grit to 8500 grit. Concrete will only maintain 800 grit shine unless treated with sodium lithium silicate, which will only maintain 1800-3000 grit shine. The concrete retains a glassy, shiny finish by going over the cement repeatedly with the grit diamond pads.
Engraving or Saw Cut:
Engraving Concrete with patterns, grout, shapes, or whatever you wish. Cutting lines into the surface can even remodel existing concrete. Specialty tools are used to complete the task, creating a wide range of new looks.
Also, saw-cutting cement can prevent driveways and walkways from cracking while allowing you to add various designs, such as diamonds and stars.
Acid Stain:
A less expensive alternative to colored concrete. This process includes pouring standard grey concrete and applying the colored acid stain 30 days after the original pour.
